Goldwater Ventures Launches The Culture Keepers Movement

New York, N.Y., August 7, 2024 — Goldwater Ventures proudly announces the launch of The Culture Keepers Movement, an initiative that resources and shares ongoing cultural sustainability efforts in African-descendant, Indigenous, and Latine/a/o/x communities.

The survival of our cultural communities' lifeways will empower our communities to address environmental degradation, food and water insecurity, global health crises, political and economic instability, the inequitable proliferation of emerging technologies, and systems of oppression perpetuating poverty and inequality. To combat these issues, our world needs indigenous-led ecological restoration, sustainable subsistence practices, co-existing traditional and modern health systems, agile cultural advocacy coalitions, ethical innovation and adoption of technologies, and reparative justice.

The Culture Keepers Fund

To resource the Movement, we are launching the Culture Keepers Fund. The Culture Keepers Fund is dedicated to resourcing cultural sustainability efforts for cultural communities, advocates, culture professionals, and allies. By securing vital resources, we forge a more inclusive and culturally aware world.

The fund has a $50M goal to support Goldwater Ventures and its Culture Keepers Circle Initiatives. We are actively seeking advisors with experience in fundraising and strategic investing, strong connections to top media, entertainment, and technology entities, deep knowledge and connections to key industries, and the ability to commit least 8 hours per month from September to May 2025.
